Xodus Carnival ‘Olympix 2026’ Pre-Registration & Interactive Campaign

The Challenge

Xodus Carnival needed to create a highly effective and engaging digital platform to launch its 'Olympix 2026' theme and collect early pre-registrations. The main challenge was to build a site that was not only visually compelling but also functionally robust, capable of handling interactive features like a live voting poll and a real-time sign-up dashboard, all without the need for a traditional backend server or database. The platform also had to provide a seamless user experience while capturing critical data and maintaining a branded feel even on a 404 error page.

Our Solution

Esirom designed and developed a comprehensive solution using Google Apps Script as a thin API layer and a static frontend architecture. This innovative approach enabled the site to be dynamic and interactive without expensive server hosting. Our solution included:

Interactive Engagement: We created a “Guess which sports we play in” poll with real-time voting totals and a leaderboard that engaged visitors and built excitement around the 'Olympix' theme. We also provided a live dashboard that displayed vote counts and recent sign-ups, which were masked for privacy.

Efficient Backend: By using Google Apps Script to read from and write to a Google Sheet, we were able to create a highly functional and serverless backend for collecting votes and emails. The system included built-in fallbacks to save data locally if the backend was unreachable, ensuring resilience and reliability.

Streamlined User Experience: The site features a clean and consistent global navigation with a hero section promoting the theme and a clear “Pre-register Now” call-to-action. We also created a branded 404 page that maintained UX continuity with a back-to-home link and social media connections.
